Kerry Burleigh, Family Law Attorney
KERRY BURLEIGH is a trained collaborative divorce attorney and mediator who provides legal services to individuals going through separation and divorce. After graduating from the University of North Carolina School of Law, she practiced family law in two law firms prior to establishing The Burleigh Law Firm and joining Separating Together, Inc.
Kerry recognizes that going through a separation or divorce is one of the most difficult, painful and uncertain periods of one’s life. She focuses on offering collaborative divorce services because she recognizes both the short term and long term benefits of the collaborative divorce process - as opposed to the litigation process - for families that are separating, those with children and those without.
Kerry grew up in Lexington, North Carolina. She currently resides in Durham with her husband and their two children. Ms. Burleigh is an avid volunteer in her community. She had wonderful experiences working for both the 1996 and 2000 Olympics organizing committees in Atlanta and Sydney, Australia, and, in 2003, she earned the Durham Young Adult Volunteer Award for her work advocating for survivors of domestic violence.
